Last week I went and visited some farms in Western Colorado. I thought some of you might find this interesting.
Furrow Irrigation / Siphon Tube Irrigation, Colorado: This is an example of furrow irrigation. Gravity fed irrigation water from mountain snow-pack melt is channeled through a complex canal system, and then individual tubes are set in place to siphon the water over the ditch embankment and into the field.
